Friends of Parish School
Welcome to Friends of Parish School
Hello from the Friends of Parish School (FOPS)!
FOPS is a voluntary organisation and a registered charity run by parents and carers. When you join our school you automatically become a Friend of Parish.
We have a Friends’ committee and being part of that is a fantastic way to get to know one another at school and to be involved within the Parish community. We are always looking for new helpers or committee members and if you are able to help in any way do contact us at friendsofparishschool@yahoo.com.
The purpose of FOPS is to provide additional resources to advance the education of our students and to invest in items that are not covered by government or trust funding.
We aim to provide facilities/resources to enhance the in classroom experience and create extra curricular activities to foster community and create memories for the children at our school.
We continue to maintain strong relationships with staff parents/carers and any others associated with school sharing what we do and supporting our community.
We are also on Instagram which can be found here!
I look forward to seeing you all at our events this year.

Meet the Team
The work of FOPS is led by a team of parents and carers at the school.
We’re a friendly bunch of people who are committed to raising money for the school through a programme of events that the whole school community can enjoy.
We’re always looking for new people to get involved. We know that not everyone has the time to spare to take on a full committee role, but if you have ideas to share or skills that could help us out in some way, please do let us know!
The Committee meets regularly.

Pre-loved Uniform
Save money and save the environment by buying pre-loved uniform from FOPS!
We have tonnes of clean, high quality pre-loved summer and winter school uniform in stock. Whatever item you're after, in whichever size, we'll do our best to help. If you can afford to make a donation, we ask for between 50p and £1 per item, but we're very happy to offer it for free if you need us to.
How to buy from FOPS
The pre-loved uniform shed is open on Monday afternoons. The shed is located on the London Lane side of the Mansion building just by the side gates at the top of the service road. If you are not able to visit the shed in person, please email fopsuniform@yahoo.com with a list of items you need and sizes and we will do our best to help.
All proceeds go to FOPS (and back into supporting our school).
How can I help and Fundraising
Amazon Smile
FOPS has just joined to Amazon Smile. By signing up, you still get to browse the same wide selection of products as you would on Amazon.co.uk. The difference is that when you do it through Amazon Smile, they give a donation, 0.5% of the value of your purchases. It may only be small individual amounts but as a school community it can soon add up!
So, why not start supporting FOPS today using one of the following ways.
- Visit http://smile.amazon.co.uk Check the charity selected is The PTA of Parish C of E Primary school.
- Go to your Amazon account, Settings. Select AmazonSmile and search for The PTA of Parish C of E Primary School.
- Please pass on this link to any other family and friends that would consider signing up to this scheme. It’s a great way of generating funds for the school at no extra cost to you.
Individual donations
Usually most of the funds we raise come from the events that we organise, but this year things will undoubtedly be different. Unfortunately, with budgets extremely tight, the work of FOPS is more important than ever. As such, we would be extremely grateful to receive individual donations too - every penny really does count. You can make a one-off online donation via PTA Events.
Match funding
If you work for a large or independent organisation, please take just a couple of minutes to check whether they offer match funding - an easy and completely free way to raise money for our school. In 2018 we increased the total Summer Fair profit by a whopping £1k through match funding, so it really is worth it!
Easy fundraising
Have you signed up to Easy Fundraising – a free and easy way to raise funds for our school just by shopping online? Find out how it works by visiting www.easyfundraising.org.uk.
Future Fundraising
We are working towards raising funds this year for the following projects.
- Outdoor Reading Hut £3000
- School Allotment £2000
- Signage for the Community Hub
- Eco Fencing for Forest School
Long term fundraising ideas which we will be working towards include:
- Sun/UV Protection for Summer.
- Y1 Outdoor Enrichment Area
- Outdoor Learning classroom
