Welcome to Friends of Parish School
Who are we?
We're you! Every parent and carer at the school automatically becomes a member of FOPS when their child joins the school, so if you're new to the school, welcome on board!
The work of FOPS is overseen by a committee, which is appointed at the AGM each September/October. We're a very friendly group of parents and carers who dedicate time to helping to organise a fun programme of events for the children to enjoy, while creating a sense of community and raising much-needed funds for the school.
As well as organising a packed programme of fundraising events, we're always looking for new ways to bring more parents and carers together, and to make school life just a little bit easier and more enjoyable for everyone. That's why this year we're also looking to expand the number of free events we offer, and to facilitate the sale of second-hand uniform.
How can you get involved?
There are lots of ways to get involved in FOPS - from helping out for an hour at a coffee morning or school fair, to using your creative, practical or professional skills and contacts to provide support behind the scenes. Getting involved is a fantastic way to meet new friends and join a thriving school community - and every bit of help you give really does make a difference.

Where does the money go?
In 2017/18, we raised a whopping £20,650 for our school, which was spent on the following:
- The second and final installment for the new playground equipment - £15,000
- Mathletics subscription - £3,040
- Easter egg hunt - £150
- School disco - £573
- Forest school equipment - £850
- Year 6 leavers BBQ - £400
We'll be setting our fundraising priorities for 2018/19 at our upcoming AGM at 7.30pm on Wednesday 17 October. Come along to the the meeting to have your say on how the money we raise should be spent.
